I’d heard good things about this wine from James Halliday-founded Coldstream Hills, so I was looking forward to trying it. The first glass didn’t impress me, but I’m glad I went back for more. Mousse and bead are heavy and don’t last long; deep gold in colour; some very interesting flavours; the high acidity works well with the ripe, aged flavours, resulting in a crisp and refreshing drink; finish is nothing special.

Not bad. Better wines for the price. Apparently they make a good pinot noir, which I wouldn’t mind trying.
